EDIT: Although it may be important to note that when unsuccessfully selecting a plugin in the drop down, the Waves logo appears next to my cursor for a split second as it would normally, so Cubase has found something to do with Waves.Ĭubase Pro 8 Version 8.0.0 Build 397 (64 bit) I can only guess that Cubase has lost a reference to the plugins themselves somewhere, but every path I've found in the plugin manager looks correct.
Reinstalling Waves Central and all the plugins changed nothing. I also know it isn't an issue with Waves, as I can successfully load the plugins in other hosts. I'm fairly sure I didn't change anything about my Cubase or Waves installations during that period. If I load those projects, the Waves VSTs fail to load in the same way, leaving a gap in the inserts list as if there had never been a plugin there at all. In Version 8 several classic plug-ins get facelifts: L1 Ultramaximizer, S1 Stereo Imager, DeEsser, TrueVerb, Q10 Equalizer, C1 Compressor/Expander and. I've only noticed the problem today, and I was definitely using Waves plugins in projects only a few weeks ago. This is especially odd because all these plugins were working fine until recently. They appear in the drop down and in the plugin manager, but if I select one from the drop down, nothing happens. I've recently run into an issue where I can't load Waves VST plugins as track inserts.
